Andrew Holtom is an IT professional, and a part-time musician. He is native of Stratford, was a chorister at Holy Trinity Church, and was educated at King Edward VI Grammar School. After writing his first computer program on paper tape, he graduated in Computer Science at Warwick University. His experience covers all sizes of machine from microprocessors to main-frames; he has worked in most industrial sectors from Games to Automotive, Health, Financial and Utilities.
Andrew’s musical career includes work as organist/choirmaster, vocal accompanist, orchestral percussionist, and musical director for local musical societies. He has written music for a number of stage plays, including more than a handful of the Shakespeare canon, and a musical adaptation of She Stoops to Conquer. He has co-written several musicals for young performers, the last being Sat Nav: The Musical.
Highlights of his musical life include singing Britten’s War Requiem at the consecration of Coventry Cathedral, and performing at the Royal Albert Hall.
