Petra Dolby is a retired arts administrator. Her work has included the Cheltenham Festivals of Music and Literature, Portsmouth City Council Arts Department, East Midlands Arts as Music Officer and Deputy Director and the Regional (later Planning) Department of the Arts Council. For the last ten years of her career she was Administrator of the Worcester Three Choirs Festival. Although principally concerned with music and regional development of the arts, Petra had a strong interest in literature and in psychology and feminism. This combination of interests made her keen to be involved in the creation and development of the Hosking Houses Trust and she was appointed one of the Founding Trustees in 2002, relinquishing her post in 2011. Although no longer formally involved as a trustee, she retains her interest in and enthusiasm for the work of the Trust and says it has been a great pleasure to watch the organisation grow from its small and occasionally tentative beginnings, to its present status as an acknowledged Trust for women writers.
A Founder trustee in 1995, Petra agreed to become an Honorary Fellow of the Trust in 2015
